The many different types of sports…

There are so many different sports that anybody can choose from. Some people aren’t good at all of them, like me, so they do not play all of them. There is volleyball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, basketball, and the list continues to go on and on until there is no more to name. Like me, I love to play volleyball and softball, when we have a team. I cheered once, which was my seventh grade year and I did not really like it so I haven’t cheered since. Although one of my best friends absolutely loves to cheer, I go and let her know that she has all of my support. I have never played basketball so clearly I know nothing about it except for what I know from watching because I always go and support my family and close friends while they do what they love to do. I have never played baseball, but I have played softball and they are basically the same thing just different types of balls. So I pretty much know how to play baseball if I wanted. Now, for my all time favorite, volleyball. I have played this sport since I was in the fourth grade and I absolutely love it. Throughout my years playing volleyball, I have played many positions. From my freshman year, to my sophomore year, I switched positions completely. From playing nothing but a middle hitter/blocker, I am now an outside hitter and I love it just as much as I did playing middle. I love the girls that are on my team because they make me feel at home and they are basically my sisters. We are all a family, and love one another equally. I highly encourage you to play a sport if you don’t because they are GREAT and keep you active and in great shape!

Sports? Do you play any?

Hello. hello, hello! As most people know me, I am Emily Shipley. For a person who loves to stay active and play sports, I am here to tell you that all sports are different. I play volleyball, I am a sophomore and a starter on varsity as an outside hitter. I enjoy playing this sport because it’s one thing that keeps me from doing nothing at all. Here I am telling my story about sports, but… two years in a row I have had injuries that caused me to sit out for a certain period of time. In the volleyball season of 2017, I had a knee injury that led to me being out for half of the season. Kind of sad, right? For me it is. Well, this 2018 volleyball season I hurt my elbow and was out for a week, that week felt like 10 weeks because I couldn’t do ANYTHING.
